Construction to refashion all 66 suites and the club-level concourse at the RBC Center is underway.

Raleigh, NC ( July 20, 2010) –  The Centennial Authority plans to invest $2.7 million in the renovations. The construction will last the duration of the summer with expected completion of Sept. 15.

“Suite renovations have been on top of the priority list,” said Dave Olsen, RBC Center’s Vice President and General Manager. “Updating the suites will provide a more enjoyable entertainment experience for our suite guests.”

The remodeling of the suites includes the reworking of space to create additional square footage. New cabinetry, carpeting, wall covering, 46-inch flat-screen televisions, furniture and induction heated chaffing dishes will also be a part of the modifications.

The club concourse is also under renovation, and will feature new carpet and wall coverings, adding to its premium atmosphere. Recently completed projects include the conversion of four concession stands, to Italian and burger-themed stands. With the success of the Twisted Waffle ice cream stand on the main concourse, an additional stand is being added to the upper-level.

Suites are leased on an annual basis to include Carolina Hurricanes hockey, NC State men’s basketball, and additional RBC Center events. Per-event rentals are also available based on availability.
