Radio One of Raleigh presents Women’s Empowerment 2010 on Saturday, March 20th. Women’s Empowerment is a high energy, high profile event that targets African-American women of all ages.

The program will feature a noteworthy motivational speech by a nationally recognized speaker. This year’s keynote speaker will be athlete, author and champion of health & fitness, Laila Ali.

Performers include gospel sensations Bebe & CeCe Winans, Marvin Sapp, Karen Clark Sheard and Jeff Majors. One of last year’s most popular features, “Black Men Revealed,” will be returning for the 2010 event. Participants in this dynamic, on-stage seminar include Academy Award Nominee, Taraji P. Henson, CSI-NY actor and author Hill Harper, Reverend Run and his wife Justine Simmons from the hit television show Run’s House, along with their daughters Angela and Vanessa Simmons of Pastry footwear and apparel.

Women’s Empowerment has empowered, educated and entertained women for the past 15 years. For an entire day women are dazzled with unforgettable performances by national recording artists, impressive vendor displays, informative seminars, a spectacular fashion show, and celebrity autograph sessions. This year’s event will feature a Vendor Pavilion that boasts over nearly 100 vendors, a Literary Lounge featuring national authors, a Wedding Pavilion and a Men’s Lounge.
