Part-time Suite Server

Salary Range: $7.50 per hour

The Suite Server is responsible for preparing individual suites (stocking each with appropriate paper goods, setting up induction warming units, inventory of fridge contents) prior to customer arrival. Taking event day food and beverage orders, entering orders into point of sale system. Will be required to deliver food and beverages (including alcohol) to their assigned suites. Responsible for collecting credit card payment per suite - will prepare and present guest checks to suite client. Suite cleanup and restocking is required following every event. Server will provide excellent professional customer service for our Suite guests.

Starting pay is $7.50/hr plus tips

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to important corporate clients and STMs.
  • Full-service hospitality liaison for the corporate client, running the suite while being constantly customer-facing.
  • Ensure standard stock of beer, wine, and liquor is well-maintained and accounted for throughout the shift.
  • Preparing individual suite; stock with appropriate paper goods, setting up induction warming units, inventory of fridge contents prior to customer arrival. 
  • Ordering food items if needed by entering orders into point of sale system throughout each event. 
  • Call for food items on hold in the suites kitchen, making sure that all food ordered by the client is served during the event. 
  • Properly restock refrigerator after alcohol cut-off and before presenting the check, entering alcohol orders into point of sale system.    
  • Prepare and present guest checks to suite client for payment.  Must accurately account for credit card payments during nightly reconciliation.  
  • Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to inventory, credit card handling, restocking and cleaning suite areas.  

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old. 
  • Must have excellent communication, and customer service skills as well as exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time including walking up and down stairs and the ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Five years previous banquet, country club or high-end restaurant experience is preferred.
  • Must pass criminal background check.

 

A flexible work schedule is required for the position including 75% monthly availability (must be available for any 5 days of a standard work week) for all booked events (hockey, basketball, concerts and family shows) scheduled on nights, weekends and holidays. You must be available to report for each shift 2.5 hours prior to the event time of each scheduled event (i.e. 4:30 p.m. report time required for a 7:00 p.m. event). Event times will vary.
